Navan Centre - Visitor Experience Upgrade

Closed 24 Jun 2022

Opened 21 Jun 2022

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council are seeking your views on the potential improvements to the Navan Centre.

Navan Fort is one of the most significant archaeological sites in Ireland, where the ancient Kings of Ulster ruled (around 95BC).  It is located two miles west of Armagh City.  The nearby Navan Centre tells the story of Navan Fort from an historical and archaeological perspective together with the myths and legends associated with the site.

An opportunity exists to greatly enhance what the Centre offers to local people and to visitors from near and far.  Various sources of potential funding are being actively explored and we are keen to hear your views as we move forward with this exciting initiative.

Your views and reponses will form an important part of any funding applications for the development of the Navan Centre.  If the application process is successful, the project will then move forward for full proposals to be developed.  At this stage, further public consultation will take place.
