Craigavon Town Centre Revitalisation

Closed 11 Jan 2021

Opened 7 Dec 2020

Overview

As part of the ongoing commitment to urban regeneration, Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council and the Department for Communities are proposing to undertake works to further revitalise Craigavon Town Centre.

We are seeking views on proposed projects within the area of Craigavon Town Centre (as shown on the map below) including a town centre wide wayfinding and signage scheme and improvements to the town centre public realm around South Lake.

The Department for Communities have confirmed funding of £215,000 for town centre revitalisation projects. It is anticipated that the key projects under the scheme will include resurfacing of an area of public realm (see photo of Public Realm area) together with the introduction of street lighting and significant improvements to the quality and quantum of signage, information boards and wayfinding around the town centre.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. Your comments will help with design of the public realm proposals.

What happens next

The answers and comments provided will be used to guide the design and content of the projects. It is proposed that the wayfinding and signage will be developed and installed over the next 12 to 18 months and that the public realm scheme will be delivered in the next six months.
