Banbridge Place Plan - Draft
Overview
The Banbridge Place Plan is a new locality plan for Banbridge being taken forward by the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Community Planning Partnership. The development of the Plan has brought a range of partners together to make long-term plans for the borough and to work with and for the communities that they serve.
The Banbridge Place Plan will be central to the towns future growth and prosperity. The successful delivery of the Place Plan will be dependent on the collaboration of individuals, organisations and businesses to work together and take ownership of the actions which were put forward by the people during the initial consultation stages.
We are inviting those who live, visit, work, study, invest or have an interest in Banbridge’s future to complete the survey to give us your feedback on the Draft Plan for the town.
In addition to the online survey, there will be an opportunity to attend local public consultation and activity events within Banbridge to discuss your views on the plan. Why your views matter
Place shaping provides an opportunity for the Armagh Banbridge and Craigavon Community Planning Partnership to work together with local people and stakeholders, unlocking innovation and change, to improve the quality of life.
693 people got involved in the development of this draft plan between February - May 2023 through workshops, online survey, school worksheets, dropping into the 'Place Lab', discovery walks and meetings with stakeholders. Engagement is summed up in Chapter 5 of the Place Plan and further information can be found in the Engagement Report below in the related items section.

The consultation has been reflected in Equality Screening Form and Rural Needs Impact Assessment which are attached below in the related documents section
The feedback received during this draft consultation will be considered in the final Banbridge Place Plan. We will listen to your views and will provide feedback on how this has influenced the final Plan. The implementation and delivery of each action in the Plan will be subject to funding and availability of resources.
Council will process these survey findings and information in line with UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) requirements.
Findings and data from this survey will be shared with and analysed by the Councils appointed consultants (Studio Idir and Starling Start) as a third party who are acting as employed by Council on the Banbridge Place Plan.
What happens next
The online survey will be open for 8 weeks from 9 October 2023 to 4 December 2023.
The feedback received during this consultation will be considered in the final Banbridge Place Plan. We will listen to your views and will provide feedback on how public input has influenced the final plan.
The implementation and delivery of each action in the strategy will be subject to funding and availability of resources.
