Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council have appointed Arup to prepare an Active Travel Masterplan for the 13 small settlements in the Borough:
Aghagallon, Bleary, Dollingstown, Donaghcloney,
Gilford, Keady, Laurelvale/Mullavilly, Magheralin,
Markethill, Rathfriland, Richhill, Tandragee
The Council has recently secured capital funding under the Covid Recovery Small Settlement Programme to enhance active travel infrastructure in rural settlements across the borough. It is intended that the Small Settlements Active Travel Masterplan will identify short, medium and long-term active travel interventions to enhance and showcase opportunities.
This questionnaire consultation survey is open until 10 March 2023. Please ensure you complete and submit your questionnaire response prior to the closing date.
What is Active Travel? - Active travel in its simplest form means making journeys in physically active ways, either for short or long journeys. It is more than just cycling and walking; it embraces a holistic approach to movement, people and place.
Your feedback will help shape future change in your settlement and the wider borough area.
