Armagh Place Shaping Plan - Survey on Draft Plan
Overview
The Armagh Place Plan is a new type of plan being taken forward by the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Community Planning Partnership. This will be the first locality plan for the Borough under the new community planning remit to bring a range of partners together to make long-term plans for the borough and to work with and for the communities that they serve.
The Council recognises its role as a coordinating force, but no one organisation can deliver this plan on its own. Success will rely on the commitment of a range of local, regional and international partners and funders. It should feel owned by the people of Armagh and its city partners. The plan is ambitious and will make the most of opportunities such as the Mid South West Growth Deal, PEACE Plus and the Levelling Up agenda to improve the quality of life for people in the city.
We are inviting those who live, visit, work, study, invest or have an interest in Armagh’s future to complete the survey to give us your feedback on the draft plan for the city. In addition to the online survey, we will be out and about in Armagh to seek your views on the plan and will hold consultation events for local businesses, Community, Voluntary & Social Enterprise sectors, children and young people and the public.
Why your views matter
ABC Community Planning Partnership believes that places should be shaped by the people who live, work and study there. Over 400 people fed into the development of this draft plan between March and July 2021 through public online workshops, an online survey, a schools creative challenge, live engagement days in Armagh, youth focused workshops and stakeholder meetings. We are consulting on the draft Armagh Place Plan, along with the Equality Screening Form and Rural Impact Assessment. As an added bonus, all those who take part in this survey and leave an email addresses will be entered into a raffle to win one of three £50 vouchers, which can be used with any Armagh restaurant or café of your choice.

The feedback received during this consultation will be considered in the final Armagh Place Plan. We will listen to your views and will provide feedback on how feedback from the public has influenced the final plan. The implementation and delivery of each key action in the strategy will be subject to funding and availability of resources.
Council will process these survey findings and information in line with UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) requirements
Findings and data from this survey will be shared and analysed with the Councils appointed consultant (USI) as a third party who are acting as employed by Council on the Armagh Place Plan.
What happens next
The online survey will be open for 12 weeks from 1st November 2021 to 23rd January 2022. The feedback received during this consultation will be considered in the final Armagh Place Plan. We will listen to your views and will provide feedback on how public input has influenced the final plan.
The implementation and delivery of each action in the strategy will be subject to funding and availability of resources.
